Every spring, the Diocese of Richmond mandates that all students in Grades 1, 3, 5 and 7 take the Diocesan standardized test, Terra Nova. The results of this test often reach the schools in late May, and parents are given a copy of their child's individual report. Teachers of the students they have taught for the year also see how well their students performed, based on the skills presented to the children. In the fall of the following year, the Diocese publishes the average scores for all the Catholic schools in the Diocese. We are proud to note that many of our student grade scores are well above the average Diocesan scores.
