Registration Process for 2012-2013
I. Registering New Siblings
Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten Students
1. Complete the appropriate application for your child and return to Amy Lawson,
Director of Enrollment and Marketing, by February 13, 2012. Applications may
be picked up at the Front Desk or in the Admissions Office.
2. Schedule your child’s assessment with Mrs. Lawson by February 13th.
Assessment Dates
Pre-Kindergarten: Wednesday, February 15th
Kindergarten: Thursday, February 16th
Grades 1 through 12
1. Complete the appropriate application for your child and return to Amy Lawson,
Director of Enrollment and Marketing, by March 1, 2012.
2. Schedule your child’s assessment with Mrs. Lawson. Assessments for grades 1
through 12 are on-going through the spring and summer.
II. Re-Registering Current Holy Cross Students
Please review, update and return the enclosed registration form(s) with your non-
refundable enrollment deposit. Please remember that this enrollment deposit is per
family, not per student.
• $250 deposit if registration form(s) are received on or before March 31, 2012.
• $300 deposit for registration form(s) received on or after April 1, 2012.
III. Applying for Financial Aid
Financial Aid is available by applying online through FACTS, Inc., an agency used by
most private schools in Virginia. FACTS determines expected family contribution and
financial need for the Diocese and for Holy Cross School. Financial Aid is awarded as
soon as processed results are received by the school from FACTS.
Completing Your Application: Visit
www.factstuitionaid.com and complete the
application. Your completed application and required supporting documentation (copies
of tax returns, etc.) must be received at the processing center
by March 1, 2012. To
guarantee arrival and processing, we recommend filing/mailing by
February 15th.
Re-registration Process for Current Families 2011-2012
Process for Registering New Siblings:
· Pre-Kindergarten applications and Kindergarten – Twelfth Grade applications are available in the
Enrollment Office. (See Pat LeDonne)
· If you are interested in enrolling an additional student for Fall 2011, please complete an application before February 15th.
· Placement testing for current family new siblings will be scheduled during the spring.
Process for Re-registering a Current HC Student:
· Please update and return the enclosed registration form(s) with your non-refundable enrollment deposit.
o $250.00 deposit (per family) if registration form(s) received before Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
o $300.00 deposit (per family) if registration form(s) received before Monday, June 14, 2010.
o Late fees for registrations received after June 14th
(Staffing and class scheduling is impacted with late summer registrations so we are moving our process earlier in efforts to better serve students and families.)
Process for Applying for Financial Aid
o FACT, Inc. determines expected family contribution and financial need for the Diocese and Holy Cross. (This organization is used by most private schools in Virginia.)
o Completed application and required credentials (copies of tax returns etc.) are due at the processing center before May 1st. To guarantee arrival and processing, we recommendfiling/mailing before April 15th.
o Financial aid will be awarded as soon as processed results are received from Facts, Inc. (late May/early June).
